The Start

If you know me personally, you know I am always one to seek out a deal or a bargain. Well, I decided this year to chronicle my deals and hopefully encourage/guide you all to being a little more like me.

First, I’d like to note some of my favorite or proudest moments as a ‘slickdealer’. It is tough to rank them but here are just a few of the deals I did last year (in no particular order… you’ll see why).

1. Southwest Airlines Companion Pass
   • Basically buy one get one free airline tickets for 2 years.
2. Discover 20% Apple Pay cash back
   • 20% cashback on up to $10,000 worth of purchases using Apple Pay in store
     • Spent majority of money on pre-paying ATT and Tmobile bills
3. Microsoft Video Game Trade
   • Buy $1.08 games from GameStop and trading them into Microsoft for $10 each.
4. Verizon Phone Trade
   • Buy $10 smartphones (inferior Android products compared to apple) and trade into Verizon for $100 each.
5. Best Buy Tablet Trade
   • Buy $25 tablets (again inferior android products) and trade into Best Buy for $50 each.
6. ATT iPhone Trade
   • Buy $100 iPhone 4/4s and trade into ATT for $200 each.
7. Seasons 52 Meals
   • $50 off the purchase of any meal. Streak of 7 meals in a row for high class food at <$10/meal. Never forget the shot glass desserts.
8. Putting a ring on it
   • Well if you know me, you’ll know who this deal involves. Hard to say who got the “bargain” here.. depending whose side you are on.

Looking back, maybe my best deals aren’t “bargains” but rather arbitrage haha. Any way you look at it, my goal is always to create value.

Anyways, I’m excited for this year, hopefully I’ll find more killer deals and I’ll be sure to let you all know. I’m always looking to recruit people as well and share my profits.
